"Leave Your Number on The Locker" reflects on the artist’s anxieties as a closeted queer person in high school. The work is especially concerned with the cultural image of locker banks as a setting for picture perfect teenage socialization, and the comparison of that experience to the fear of violence that young queer people face as they come to terms with their identities.
